Panela Productions keep on coming

The Panela Productions keep on coming.
At the moment my focus has been on movies, or rather photo compilations.
I have made bracelets, earrings, and now I've started making wrapping paper.
Also I'm decorating notebooks.

The photos will be up when I get a spare day to scan and take pictures.
Until then be warned that vanilla podes smell like nasty old plastic.

I made ice cream with one vanilla pode and the smell would have stayed clinging to my hands had I not dipped them in a cleaning solution.

Oh Narcisa

Oh Narcisa you are being but a flower :)
Narcissus Jonquila
to narcisa you are but a flower in the garden of friends.

p.s. I love this flower. Every May they would bloom in my garden back
in British Columbia.

Poema

Procuro o sentido na confusão,
a memória no esquecimento, o amor na indiferença,
a música no siléncio
a paz na guerra.

Procuro a fé no sétissismo
a lua no dia
e na noite o sol.
Na vida procuro a morte
e na morte procuramos a vida.
No ceu procuro o homen
en na terra as nuvens.

Procuro a voz da razão numa multidão.

Procuro, procuro mas nunca ei de encontrar.

Best cookie recipe I ever tried

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Ingredients
  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 g baking soda
  • 3 g salt
  • 170 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 220 g packed brown sugar
  • 100 g white sugar
  • 15 ml vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 335 g semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

tips: If you run out of butter liquid wipping cream works.
      -  If you don't have brown sugar use white sugar instead in the amount indicated for the brown
sugar and put two table spoons of honey. It will taste smoother but it will work out just the same.
